Online application are invited from the eligible female graduate candidates only for the session 2022-2024 for admission in B. P. Ed Course(2 year) at Government Physical Education College For Women, Rice Research Station, P.O-Chinsurah(RS), Dist- Hooghly affiliated by the University of Burdwan and recognized by the NCTE.
- Eligibility Criteria – As per NCTE norms:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
Or
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks.
Or
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory/elective subject.
Or
Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/Inter University/State competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
Or
Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
Or
Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches)
The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B shall be as per the rules of the Government.
- Total No of seats - 50(Subject to qualify the eligibility criteria of NCTE).
- The age of the candidate should not more than 30 years as on 01-09-2022(Relaxation as per Govt. Rules).
- 5% seats are to be reserved for untrained deputed school teachers of classes V-XII subject to their eligibility as per NCTE Regulations.
- The ratio of Home University students and Other University students shall be 80:20.
- All testimonials are required to be uploaded online during application. Verification of documents, if required, should be done only when the students will report for classes in due course. Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted on-line and also found false / incorrect.
- All stakeholders shall adhere to the COVID-19 norms/protocol issued by the Govt. from time to time.
- Date of start Online Form fill up: 01.09.2022.
- Date of closing of Online Form fill up: 11.09.2022.
- Provisional merit list for eligible candidates will be published on 15.09.2022.
- 1st merit List of selected candidate for admission in B. P. Ed course, session 2022-2024 will be published on 19.09.2022 on college website.
- All Certificates and Testimonials (Birth Certificate/M.P Admit Card, Cast Certificate, Marksheets, Sports achievement Certificate and Other Certificate) of candidate must be uploaded.
- Admission date for selected candidate in B. P. Ed course, session 2022-2024 on 19.09.2022 to 21.09.2022.
- Admission Fees of Rs. 650.00(non refundable) to be deposited to the college Bank Account through online mode within the stipulated date & time. Failing which the candidate will not be entertained to admission will be cancelled.
- 2nd merit list for admission will be published on 23.09.2022, subject to availability of vacant seats.
- No Fees will be charged for online application for admission 2022-2024 session.
- Selected candidates those who have submitted receipt of Admission Fees through online for the admission in B.P.Ed course, 2022-2024 sessions will be confirmed.

- B. P. Ed course is fully residential in nature. Hostel accommodation will be provided to the students by the college. Food has to arrange by students themselves. No one will be allowed to attend regular instructional classes from home/own residence.
- For other Fees(Student welfare fund) if required will be communicated to the students well in advance.
